Sakuragaoka is a neighborhood of Tama City, Tokyo where Machikado Mazoku takes place. It is described as "a quiet commuter town located near the forest and mountains", and "a peaceful town known for its cherry blossoms." Many of the landmarks shown in the series are modeled after real locations of Tama City.
