Anri Sata (佐田 杏里, Sata Anri) is a character of the series Machikado Mazoku. She is a friend of Yuko Yoshida and Shion Ogura who is a member of Sakuragaoka High School's tennis club.
Appearance[]
Anri is a fair-skinned girl with neck-length brown hair that has bangs covering her forehead and black eyes.
She is usually seen with her school uniform on and she also usually has her tennis racket with her.
Personality[]
Anri likes to tease her friends, such as Yuko Yoshida, where she is seen often teasing Yuko; for example, teasing her about how she misspells Shadow Mistress Yuko.
Etymology[]
- The name Anri means "apricot" (杏) (an) and "village" (里) (ri).
- Anri's surname Sata means "help, aid" (佐) (sa) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta).
- Sata comes from Satan (Sata Anri).
Trivia[]
- Anri attended the same middle school with Momo Chiyoda.
- Anri's family runs a butcher's store in the Tamasakura Shopping District. Due to this, Anri knows a lot about Sakuragaoka, and is adept at making people buy more of their meat.
- Anri is helpful like an assistant. Whenever someone forgets to bring their stationery, she will have two pairs of them and let them borrow one.
- Anri gives lots of information to Yuko Yoshida, but she has a habit of slipping up and saying things Yuko would rather keep secret. Yuko sometimes wonders if Anri has in it for her, thus why Yuko sometimes calls her an assassin.
- Anri is the only character in the whole series to not have any relations to the Light or the Dark clan.
- Anri likes to give nicknames to other people.
- She calls Yuko 'Shamiko' (which is where the nickname Shamiko first generated).
- She calls Momo Chiyoda 'Chiyomomo'.
